What is Yin and Sound?
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods, typically 3-5 minutes or more, focusing on deep stretches of the connective tissues like fascia, rather than muscle strengthening. This floor-based practice emphasizes principles of safety, relaxation, and breathing to improve flexibility, joint mobility, and to calm the nervous system.
What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a meditative practice that uses sounds and vibrations from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes to promote relaxation and well-being. Participants lie down and allow the sounds to wash over them, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension while encouraging a deep state of relaxation.
About the hosts:
My name is Shannon Molinari. I am a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, certified sound healer practitioner, outdoor enthusiast, and mom to three boys.
Phoebe Polakovic is an Associate Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual, certified yoga instructor, cat lover, and incredible mom to three boys.
I started my Yoga Journey 20 years ago after throwing out my back several times and walking around hunched over and stressed – a friend suggested I try the practice of Yoga. I’ve been walking upright ever since. Over the years my practice has evolved to incorporate emotional and nervous system healing with physical healing. My experience with trauma has come in many forms, and financial trauma is an area that has brought me continued stress and anxiety throughout the years. I became a financial advisor to help myself break free from that trauma and help others to realize that freedom.
Now, with the help of my partner, we are bringing together financial education and restorative sound healing for a financial wellness workshop that I hope you won’t soon forget.
May it resonate today and continue to resonate with you as you continue to evolve and grow in your journey.
I am looking forward to this session, and I hope you are too!
What do I bring for Yin and Sound?
Ear Plugs are offered. We invite you to be comfortable andrecommend bringing a mat, and any props (Blankets, etc…)
After the session, you are welcome to stay for tea/coffee to socialize and reawaken before driving.
