We are so excited to welcome Leslie Booker at Lark & Owl Booksellers for a conversation about the importance of voting in local elections, what the role of District Judge entails, and how it affects voters lives.

RSVPing is not required to attend the story time but does help us get a more accurate head count!

ABOUT THE CONVERSATION:

What Williamson County voters can expect to hear about:

What a district court judge actually does — and how decisions made in local courts can affect people and families.

Why judicial experience matters when handling the different kinds of cases that come before a district court.

What fairness and impartiality look like in the courtroom and why every person deserves to be heard.

Why local judicial races matter to Williamson County residents, even when they receive less attention than races at the top of the ballot.

How to be an informed down-ballot voter and why it’s important to understand the local offices on your ballot before you vote.
